Job Description

• Conduct thorough Design for Manufacturing (DFM) studies on customer drawings and technical documents to identify potential design and manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to implement necessary design improvements for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.
• Assess the availability of manufacturing resources and capabilities in Malaysia and China to meet production demands.
• Identify areas for improvement or upgrading of capabilities when necessary.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address production-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Perform comprehensive cost analysis studies to optimize tooling expenses while ensuring quality and performance standards.
• Utilize 3D CAD software, preferably Creo Parametric, UG, or NX tools, to create, modify, and optimize tooling designs.
• Propose innovative process flows to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with production teams in Malaysia and China to facilitate knowledge sharing and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in tooling engineering with a strong background in rubber and plastic component parts manufacturing (minimum 5 years).
• Chinese language proficiency preferred for effective collaboration with China teams.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically Creo Parametric/UG/NX tools.
• Extensive experience as a mold maker in the rubber and plastic manufacturing industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to Johor, Malaysia when required.
