The Role Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to be the OCIR lead on the management actions arising from the skilled person review on effectiveness of SCB\xe2\x80\x99s ability to manage the orderly solvent wind down of entities under Solo. The individual supports the Head of OCIR & FMI and will work closely with key stakeholders in Group and Regional Resilience teams, across Business and Functions, Operational Risk, Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) and other functions to ensure that the appropriate actions are delivered completely and effectively.

Strategy

  • The role requires strong understanding of the business, OCIR & FMI capabilities, operational support to the business and restructuring strategy for the bank.
Business
  • Working with management action leads, CPBB and CCIB Businesses, Recovery & Resolution planning (RRP), OCIR & FMI team and functions (as required) to ensure actions, risks and issues are managed in line with the expected outcomes
Processes
  • Understand and work with OCIR Team on some of the key processes and capabilities in OCIR & FMI to support continuity of provision of services for regulatory compliance, at the minimum understanding of critical services, critical functions, core business lines, OCIR Service Catalogue, third party continuity management, other operational dependencies (e.g. systems, property), OCIR & FMI Playbook.
People & Talent
  • Supporting Program Manager in effective governance and project management standards are applied across all delivery responsibilities.
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to focus on multiple initiatives and subjects at the same time.
Risk Management
  • Ensuring that any risk arising from processes, project timelines & delivery are highlighted / escalated quickly to ensure adequate remedial actions can be taken.
  • Understanding of the Operational and Technology Risk Type Framework
Governance
  • Primary contact point for the deliverables and to manage / resolve blockers
  • Be part of the working groups set up for each of the management actions, interlinkages with other barriers and answerable on the progress, risks and mitigations
  • Escalates key risks, issues and dependencies

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10+Yrs experience in understanding the bank\xe2\x80\x99s business, footprint and operating model (CPBB and CCIB Businesses)
  • Understanding of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s business, footprint and operating model
  • Knowledge of risk governance and controls
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Written and verbal communication
