The candidate will be a member of the Enterprise Management Team in Asia, which manages and delivers the business project portfolio to support the banks growth strategy in Asia. Together with partners from business and IT, aligned with the organisations\' overall strategy, the unit delivers improved client experience, operating efficiency and flexibility to clients and internal stakeholders alike.

The candidate will play the role of a Senior Project Management Officer (PMO).

  • As a Senior PMO in APAC, the candidate will support the project portfolio governance and reporting for the Enterprise Management APAC team and will drive governance and methodology for specific initiatives. The candidate will develop and manage the framework of standardised processes and templates, working closely with Product Owners, Enterprise Management leads and other key business stakeholders.
KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

Scope/Key Service Offering as Senior PMO
  • Support the Transformation Office APAC Head in managing the project portfolio and reporting processes for Enterprise Management APAC team.
  • The candidate will lead the pilot initiative for the roll-out of a domain based PMO support model supporting Asia POs leading different CtB initiatives which will showcase the benefits/outcome/lessons learnt from having dedicated PMOs for specific domains. The PMO is expected to support the respective Product Owners with project planning, governance, tracking and reporting. The candidate will create the pilot framework, kick start it and assist in building a roadmap for developing.
  • Monitor programme / project reporting and supports Product Owners / Project leads in key governance forums / project status reporting and tracking.
  • Work closely with senior management, project managers, product owners, IT and other stakeholders in establishing and managing a streamlined process for cost management / budget tracking for project portfolios.
  • Provide support to business leads in planning activities and facilitating transversal / cross-programme topics and dependencies.
  • Ensures the implementation of project governance and best practices in pursuit of successful delivery of projects.
  • Facilitate problem-solving discussions / forums and proactively calling out risks for mitigation.
  • Provide training, mentoring and support to internal stakeholders on project governance and methodology as required.

  • Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

Professional and Technical
  • A minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent 8-10 years in project management/ project management office especially having working experience in business consulting or worked as a business PMO
  • Strong project management / PMO experience and proven track record dealing with complex projects.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Thorough understanding of private banking client needs, client lifecycle and value chain is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience of partnering with IT in a Scrum setup is a plus.

  • Ability to think pragmatically and drive execution of concepts. Analyse, prioritise, resolve issues, and take decisions during challenging times while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter who can provide insights and drive results in a dynamic and fast evolving environment with the ability to deliver value-added support to business partners in a dependable, timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to define and track project deliveries through to implementation in order to manage the overall project portfolio governance.
  • Adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in high-pressure environment along with cross- location teams with/without remote working.
