JOB PURPOSE
This role works with Procurement Category owners to understand category strategies and associated implementation. Drives operational and transactional sourcing activities such as creation and management of RFx, coordination with suppliers, evaluation of RFx response and, all other sourcing related steps in SAP Ariba. Performs contract drafting, management of contract negotiations (redlines) within guidelines of pre-defined contract playbook and clause library also supports periodic maintenance of contract playbook and clause library. The job supports both major category and minor category procurement.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Understand the sourcing strategy and effectively execute action plan for review and governance of the sourcing strategy.
Create initial bidder lists, submit supplier request form in SAP Ariba and develop RFx content.
Access NDA/CDAs needed and manage agreement requirements.
Launch & Manage RFx event and facilitate any Q&As between the supplier and category / sourcing team in a timely manner.
Receive and analyze supplier quotes and coordinate with suppliers for revised bids if initial bids are not satisfactory.
Prepare fact-based negotiation strategy and discussion material.
Schedule and assist in negotiation sessions with supplier.
Coordinate and manage supplier presentations.
Award business to supplier in SAP Ariba.
Document and maintain feedback for non-selected suppliers.
Conduct supplier due diligence and compliance checks before every business award.
Maintain a good working knowledge of supplier\xe2\x80\x99s organization, product lines and contractual agreements.
Own daily workflow management for tasks assigned and redirect work as appropriate.
As required, act as primary point of contact for internal business stakeholders to address stakeholder needs.
As required, act as one of the primary points of contact for supplier relationship management based on supplier segmentation.
Conducts data analysis to help build supplier list, RFx and, negotiation strategy etc.
Own end-to-end contracting for assigned contracts, consult with Contract Lead or Legal if required
Review Contract Request and check if additional information needed from business, contact business users for information
Review and mark up supplier paper contracts according to playbooks
Review and negotiate medium complexity / medium value contracts according to fallback positions included in playbooks
Oversee and actively manage triaging of contract execution
Engage with Legal SMEs for feedback and capture knowledge to minimize future escalations
Capture responses to escalations to minimise future escalations
Knowledge share between Contract Reviewers to identify common problems in the GCO, feedback to Op. Excellence and Contracting Category Leads
Results driven to formulate focused outcomes and achievements to meet business objectives
Continuously work with stakeholders / procurement / legal to understand and validate their needs.
Able to identify areas of improvement and provide feedback to Contract Lead
Be responsible for in-depth knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and legal specifications
Periodic maintenance of contract playbook and clause library
Business level proficiency in Mandarin an advantage
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
Preferred \xe2\x80\x93 Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Management, Statistics, or related fields
Minimum of four (4) years in a contract reviewer/negotiator role, preferably with a focus on procurement or supply chain operations
Familiarity with transaction structures and experience with negotiating a variety of commercial contracts including but not limited to MSAs, SOWs, Change Orders, CDAs/NDAs, and Data Privacy Agreements
Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts
Experience with Ariba Contract Workspace (CW), SAP, Appian vendor management
Experience with workflow management tools such as ServiceNow
Experience working on Microsoft applications like PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
