The Media\'s new product launch provides technical solutions to new product qualification, product yield, quality, and reliability through developing new processes and metrology. The team works closely with the cross-functional groups to drive the design center to continue optimizing the media process to meet product electrical recording performance and mechanical, tribology, and manufacturability. We seek a successful R&D engineer with excellent breadth and depth of technical capabilities in Sputtering Process and Product Development, working effectively within a highly dynamic and capable team. About the role - you will:


  • Develop on HAMR sputter process to improve media ADC and mechanical performance to meet the new product timeline
  • Develop new target material to gain RSS performance and improve manufacturability
  • Design experiments to understand the process window/margin
  • Transfer new product process into mass production and continuously improve the process to meet customer requirement
  • Technical lead of sputter engineers

Your experience includes:


  • Knowledge and skills in any of these areas \xe2\x80\x93 Material science, Magnetic recording knowledge, thin film sputter process
  • R&D in magnetic recording media process and target material selection, including process DOE, magnetic characterization tools, and data analysis techniques are all skills that will be beneficial in this role.
  • Proficient in English speaking and writing

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available.
