The Media\'s new product launch provides technical solutions to new product qualification, product yield, quality, and reliability through developing new processes and metrology. The team works closely with the cross-functional groups to drive the design center to continue optimizing the media process to meet product electrical recording performance and mechanical, tribology, and manufacturability.

We seek a successful R&D engineer with excellent breadth and depth of technical capabilities in Sputtering Process and Product Development, working effectively within a highly dynamic and capable team.

About the role - you will:

\xe2\x97\x8f Develop on HAMR sputter process to improve media ADC and mechanical performance to meet the new product timeline

\xe2\x97\x8f Develop new target material to gain RSS performance and improve manufacturability

\xe2\x97\x8f Design experiments to understand the process window/margin

\xe2\x97\x8f Transfer new product process into mass production and continuously improve the process to meet customer requirement

\xe2\x97\x8f Technical lead of sputter engineers

About you:

\xe2\x97\x8f Strong fundamental understanding of magnetic recording materials, process, and thin film technology

\xe2\x97\x8f Teamwork and self-motivated

\xe2\x97\x8f Strong communication and technical leadership skills

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to drive technical innovation into rapid product solutions

\xe2\x97\x8f Flexibility and excellent time and task management capabilities

Your experience includes:

• Knowledge and skills in any of these areas - Material science, Magnetic recording knowledge, thin film sputter process
• R&D in magnetic recording media process and target material selection, including process DOE, magnetic characterization tools, and data analysis techniques are all skills that will be beneficial in this role.
• Proficient in English speaking and writing

Location:

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available. We offer a range of facilities including an in-house gym and dance studio, as well as after-work badminton and table tennis competitions.
