Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the next paradigm shift in Edge computing and is looking for a world class candidate to manage strategic alliances with telecom and Communication Service Providers (CSP). Your job will be to build and develop edge partnerships with leading/largest Communication Service Providers (CSP) and an ecosystem of Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s), System Integrators (SI's) and Enterprises, to drive top line revenue growth via solution creation and go to market execution for hybrid edge cloud, including Multi-access Edge Cloud (MEC). If you are energized by the prospect of how edge computing is transforming 5G and the cloud and want to be part of the journey where 5G use cases will be developed and taken to market, this is the role for you. Working closely with technical and field leaders of AWS and CSP partners, you will be responsible for defining building and implementing a GTM program to build and scale hybrid edge use cases and solutions.

The ideal candidate will have both a business background that enables them to engage out the executive level as well as a business development background that enables them to manage joint GTM effort. This person should have demonstrated ability to think strategically about business problems and technical challenges in the telecom's industry. Ability to build and covey compelling value propositions for the jointly develop solutions is a must. You also bring strong experience managing projects and programs, implementing governance, leading cross functional teams, developing enablement materials, and driving change. You will bring strengths in continuous improvement, breakthrough thinking, and play significant role in building a new business in an emerging space. The position requires a strong technical acumen and the familiarity with CSP environments, cloud and data center hosting infrastructure, and 5G enabled consumer and enterprise use cases that require low latency. The positional requires strong commercial understanding of the business models of CSPs.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities will include creating and driving executive level and field relationships with major CSPs and with the AWS field sales, guiding the development and launch a joint solutions, and executing joint go-to-market (GTM) plans. By establishing and growing business and technical relations while managing the day-to-day interactions, you will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth and overall market adoption.

  • Quarterback existing CSP partnership (underpinned by Strategic Collaboration Agreements that include AWS Edge)
  • Own edge GTM success with and through CSPs through all phases of the edge flywheel
  • Drive operational and executive cadence to define and deliver CSP partner related GTM goals
  • Maximize return on AWS investments
  • Represent voice of CSP partner and edge customers
  • Ensure CSP partners invests in partnership and remain vested
  • Develop and run GTM plays with Sales Specialists and Solution Architects
  • Collaborate with GTM specialists to establish new solutions with CSP partners
  • Enable CSP to be AWS edge able and advocates, influencing broader adoption of AWS
  • Drive CSP partners internal workloads at the edge (include network workloads)

About the team
The Telecom Business Development & Strategic Initiatives (BDSI) team works to provide scalable solutions, industry expertise, and GTM mechanisms to drive opportunities/funnel for the Telco Independent Business Unit (TIBU) and non-TIBU CSP accounts. The team aims to deliver solutions across the CSP value chain.
