Job Description

• Prepares key project documentation, including structural design brief as specified in bid packages, equipment data sheets and contract specifications to develop trim, stability and loading manual and etc. for project execution \xef\x82\xb7
• Prepares rough sketches, drawings, general arrangement, capacity and lines plans and other engineering data on stability & mooring by utilising engineering common network, software and tools \xef\x82\xb7
• Participates in project meeting, attends to basic technical queries and issues related to stability & mooring design and reviews the design deliverables pertaining to project facilities, fabrication, transportion and installation \xef\x82\xb7
• Liaises with owners, statutory and classification authorities on design compliance review and approval in meeting project requirements \xef\x82\xb7
• Performs studies to explore, source and develop a new range of stability and mooring control methods and systems for to meet their operational needs in different environment and weather conditions \xef\x82\xb7
• Prepares hull form, geometry plan, tank plan, hydrostatic and tank sounding table to determine volume and positioning in centre of gravity in inclining test \xef\x82\xb7
• Prepares and optimises vessel specific test procedures and calculations for vessel stability & mooring in lightweight survey and load line \xef\x82\xb7
• Performs damage stability calculations and analysis and generates plans for all damage possibilities and assumptions \xef\x82\xb7
• Formulates design and analysis for mooring and station keeping by applying industry standard software for mooring line fatigue analysis and design arrangements \xef\x82\xb7
• Develops model for process simulations and control in providing solutions to stability & mooring problems in reflecting customers\xe2\x80\x99 safety and reliability standards
  

Requirements: \xef\x82\xb7

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Naval Architecture/ Structural Engineering/ or related engineering disciplines \xef\x82\xb7
• 3 years of working experience in stability & mooring concept and basic design in oil and gas projects \xef\x82\xb7
• Experience in a wide range of marine and offshore structures (e.g. self-elevating units, column stabilised units, surface type units, new build FPSO hull) \xef\x82\xb7
• Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken) \xef\x82\xb7
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, STAAD, and Adobe Acrobat
• Possess working knowledge or fundamentals in naval architecture, hydrodynamic, and engineering principles \xef\x82\xb7
• Knowledge of engineering analysis techniques and tools/software applications used in naval architectural engineering \xef\x82\xb7
• Knowledge in the studies and optimisation of hull form using CFD techniques coupled with model testing for the purpose of minimising resistance or improvement of sea-keeping performance \xef\x82\xb7
• Possesses ability to perform required analysis and deliver class approved documents \xef\x82\xb7
• Knowledge of site inspection standards, class rules requirements and industry codes on hull and structure in marine operations (i.e. ABS, SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO MODU Code, API Standards and ISO Standards)
