Job Description


Assist Executive, Recreational Nodes Unit in providing high standard of guest service and coordinate day to day operations for the Recreational Nodes namely Animal Encounters, Fort Siloso and Skywalk and Sentosa Nature Discovery (SND) as well as assisting to harmonize the education, conservation, tour guiding and outreach programs within the recreational nodes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct inspections to ensure that heritage sites are in satisfactory condition in accordance to preservation guidelines and operation of recreational nodes are efficiently-run according to work plan and standards
  • Coordinate and facilitate sprucing up of the heritage sites according to the guidelines that are sensitive to the historic context in consultation with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage and oversee the coordination of daily operations
  • Prepare roster of hourly rated staff to ensure sufficient manpower daily
  • Plan and conduct guided tour for RNU
  • Follow up on problems reported and decide on timely and appropriate solutions and preventive measures
  • Gather feedbacks from teams and initiate improvements in operations, procedures and service standards
  • Liaise with other departments on events/activities to be held at the recreational nodes. Provide support to ad hoc events and outreach programmes organized by Environmental Management
  • Assist in content management for the programmes to be held within or outside Recreational Nodes
  • Handle administrative duties e.g. overtime claims, procurement, etc
  • Coordinate and maintain record for all corrective and preventive maintenance within the recreational nodes
  • Facilitate information flow and feedbacks between Executive and team
  • Manage communication mediums between guests and recreational nodes
  • Managing cross deployment of staff within the all the recreational nodes
  • Plan and provide proper guidance and training to team members for wildlife management and caring of Animal Encounters’ animals
  • Plan and communicate with respective units and departments and island partners to provide all necessary logistical support for human and wildlife conflicts
  • Coordinate and work closely with government agencies, state holders and island partners to manage the nodes.
  • Gather feedbacks from teams and initiate improvements in operations, procedures and service standards
  • Complete any other duties assigned from time to time
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide support to ad hoc events and outreach programs organized by Sentosa Development Corporation
  • Coordinate and provide support for harmonizing and driving show excellence and experiential requirements for future new recreational nodes
  • Identify hazards and liaise with respective parties to rectify it for safety of our guest and ourselves
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that smooth operation of recreational nodes in accordance to guest service and operational standards as defined by Sentosa Development Corporation
  • Handle administrative duties e.g. submission of visitorship, reports, checklist and part-timers’ payroll
  • Facilitate information flow and feedbacks between Executive and team
  • Managing cross deployment of staff within all the recreational nodes
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Diploma in Tourism Field of Study with at least 2-3 years experience in service/hospitality industry, attractions management etc.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications predominantly, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Design software etc.
  • Advantageous to have relevant working experience in public interfacing
  • Possesses experience in leading a small team. A team player who is able to communicate well with relevant stakeholders
  • Preferably possesses Class 2B or Class 3 Driver’s License
  • Possesses good analytical and conflict resolution skills in guest engagement
  • Possesses knowledge in Operation of Attraction/Nodes Management
  • Multi-tasking capabilities and willingness to go the extra miles
  • Experience in guest service and hospitality
  • Some experience in content development, facilitate and conduct guided tours/programmes or delivery of guided tours will be an added advantage
  • Experience in cultural heritage management will be an added advantage
