Modec Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) Pte Ltd is a leading provider of solutions to the Floating Offshore Oil & Gas market for more than 50 years and we are currently looking for a Supplier Pre-qualification Coordinator to join us.

We are currently based at Metropolis, Buona Vista, Singapore. This is a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility to manage modec suppliers includes but not limited to executing supplier prequalification, maintaining company approved supplier list, develop new suppliers, managing supplier relationship and performance improvement.

• Plan and execute supplier pre-qualification process. Identify suppliers who have potential to do business with company and recommend for prequalification.
• Ensure that the pre-qualification process for all new supplier requests is carried out efficiently and expeditiously.
• Comply with procurement policies and procedures for supplier pre-qualification. Ensure that all dealings with existing and new suppliers for prequalification are carry out ethically.
• Maintains, evaluates and expands reliable sources of supply and backup sources of supply to ensure adequate suppliers production capacity. Develops new suppliers.
• Liaise with project procurement managers to fully understand their project\'s pre-qualification requirements.
• Process and analyze supplier data submitted for pre-qualification. prepare and upload these documents in share folders in share point for prequalification rating and approval by the various departments namely technical, commercial, financial, HSE, quality and compliance..
• Prepare and issue vendor vetting worksheet for compliance to conduct vetting on all new suppliers

• Co-ordinate monthly supplier pre-qualification internal meeting and prepare all documents in folders for all new suppliers requiring screen and review by the supplier pre-qualification committee.

• Issue and prepare supplier pre-qualification status reports on a monthly basis.

• Attend meeting with suppliers when required.

• Establish good working relationships with suppliers and service providers.

• Maintain and develop approved supplier list (AVL) databases.

Requirements:

• Degree in supply chain, purchasing and materials management or business administration.
• Minimum 10 years professional experience in engineering,purchasing or supply chain management.
• Experience with supply chain management, supplier quality systems, awareness of industry cost drivers, commercial contract management and implementation of sourcing strategies.
• Must have thorough understanding of strategic supplier management, internal and customer specifications for the commodity, raw material or services required.
• Experience working in a global and virtual environment, both internally and with suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of organizational structure.
• When involved with outsourcing, must be familiar with supplier capabilities including quality, capacity, NDE capabilities, etc.
• Demonstrates proficiency in mentoring, thinking creatively and supplier management.

• Proficient in SAP and Documentum.
