As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for establishing a clear and effective business ownership for Supply Chain processes within the CPO SCM organization to ensure adherence and sustainability of the defined standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Process Owner: Ensure governance of the processes of the unit and align the related role\'s key accountabilities with global Supply Chain directions and ensure local business process owners contribute to the continuous improvement of the defined Standards providing inputs and actively participating to Global initiatives
  • Supply and Demand Management:
o Manage overall activities and functions required to ensure effective and efficient supply and demand requirements processing and facilitates the execution of the Sales & Business Planning (S&BP) processes, review and challenge sales forecasts, understand product movement and trend, conducts supply review and other operational matters related to supply and demand planning
o Identify and implement key operational strategies to address potential stock-out concerns, including escalation process, and other problems affecting supply reliability
o Ensure proper implementation of Global SCM net requirements submission, order processing and transmission, stock out reporting and escalation process and coordinate new launch projects and plan logistical support to ensure availability and consistent replenishment of inventories to sustain marketing strategy. Ensure accurate and prompt accomplishment of related documents SKU Request Form and Notification of Introduction (NOI) in coordination with Marketing, QA, and DRA
o Manage the product life cycle change for logistical support, such as production transfer, raw material change, safety label change, pruning and divestment
o Coordinate and support import entry declarations and ensure that all importations are in accordance with local customs rules & regulations
o Support Sri-Lanka forecast submission and Demand / Supply for specific distributor
  • Inventory Management:
o Ensure accurate monthly inventory projection and analysis to achieve, updated inventory parameters, e.g. safety stocks, minimum order quantity, and target inventory levels in coordination with Global SCM
o Ensure physical count and reconciliation of inventories are conducted in the warehouses
o Secure inventory reliability by ensuring accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions in the system (Only applicable for Singapore). Manage third party service providers to ensure that data integrity is maintained and delivered in an efficient manner.
o Ensures monthly inventory provision report is submitted at month-end based on SAP down- loaded data and minimize write-offs through close monitoring and identification of disposition plans in coordination with Marketing (Only applicable for Singapore)
  • Warehousing and Distribution: Coordinate with 3rd party distributors on overall management of Novartis stocks as agreed in the Warehousing and Distribution Contract. Conduct monthly operation reviews with distributors to discuss monthly performance results based on agreed KPIs, necessary action plans for improvements, and other critical issues/concerns and liaise with CPO QA team to ensure that all storage and related processes are aligned with global quality standards, including participation (as observer) in QA audits conducted
  • Sales Order Processing and Invoicing: Ensure a working system/program is in place, all sales order and invoices are processed accurately and monthly reconciliation on sales transactions is performed prior to month- end closing
  • Management of 3rd Party Service Provider: Perform overall management of 3rd party service providers, specifically distributors, brokerage services, transportation servers and printing house. Review and finalize formal contracts with all 3rd party service providers, including regular updates as necessary and Ensure performance measurements are in place (KPIs)
  • Staff Development: Ensure continuous development and training of all team members with focus in achieving excellence in Supply Chain and Support cross functional training & exposure to related functions to promote better team collaboration and better understanding of business
  • Compliance: Adhere to the highest ethical standards in the industry and abide by the Novartis Code of Conduct and other integrity and compliance guidelines and policies. (BPO, Anti bribery, Conflicts of Interest, NP4 etc.) and other compliance related activities
Minimum requirements
  • University degree, preferable Supply Chain, Industrial
Engineering or any business course
  • Strong experience in Supply Chain Manager
  • Need someone with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience and more than five (5) years\' experience in a managerial Capacity
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Customer-focused, Quality and action-oriented
