About the Unit

For over a century Yara has worked to feed the world and protect the planet, and our mission is to do so in a responsible and sustainable way. YAA will require special focus on sustainability KPIs related to scope 3 emissions and regenerative agriculture. This role will be the go-to expert for creating value from our sustainability focused initiatives. Fully understanding our sustainability KPIs and being the enabler for the organization to reach our goals and create value. Keeping focus on YAA strategic priorities will be key to success of this individual. This position will be part of the regional innovation and impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop the positioning for YAA on our sustainability initiatives in collaboration with Marketing
• Develop frameworks for countries to determine the best way to meet the sustainability KPIs and extract business value
• Help YAA balance sustainability initiative between monetary value and qualitative value
• Create a sharing function between markets for YAA helping motivate the markets to explore new business models related to sustainability
• Be a key partner with the Director of food value chain business to keep clear focus on sustainability and enable their work in extracting value from these initiatives
• Be the regional representative for global sustainability initiatives and be the connector of global expertise to the markets
• Be the YAA representative in forums and conferences related to sustainability
• Be a key stakeholder for development of sustainability roadmap initiatives and working groups in which sustainability is a key to decision making.
• Develop a roadmap and detail targets for YAA to achieve our sustainability KPIs
• Ensure that Yara solutions meet the needs of the industry and generate value to the customer and help us achieve our sustainability goals.
• Collaborate closely with Agronomy, digital and food value chain team members to ensure we capitalize on all opportunities and find synergies
• This position is based in YAA reporting to VP New Business Development and Sustainability

Profile

• Strong commercial understanding and track record of delivering business results
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Strong project management skills
• Comfortable with interacting with stakeholders at different levels both internally and externally.
• MBA, Master in agronomy, sustainability or related fields;
• Strong influence and negotiation skills
• Competence on agile ways of working and ability to drive projects as part of a large transformation
• Experience in working in international teams and culturally diverse environments
• Open minded with positive drive, solution oriented
• Excellent communication skills in English in written and spoken form.
