SCOPE

The overall scope includes understanding the 5 Star Hotel modus operandi in line with Kempinski\'s DNA values in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of deliverables. The Sustainability Intern will work to operationalize sustainability through organizing events, developing creative programming and initiatives, conducting peer-to-peer outreach, collecting & analyzing data, and conducting research. To adopt the best practices in sustainability management at all times.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES

This role will report to Director of Engineering & Security on supporting the implementation of the hotel\'s Sustainability programmes, specifically on managing CRS partnerships and projects, charitable donations, community outreach and employee engagement.

The job of Sustainability Intern is executed satisfactorily when:

• To support the Sustainability Champion with related research and environmental focus innovation projects to improve sustainability efforts
• To conduct research on various global green certification criteria, application and trends
• To support the Sustainability Champion on internal reporting needs and ensure CRS data (environment, waste, responsible sourcing, community, health & safety and people) are collected on time
• Assist on the hotel\'s data management, this includes launching new features and new reports, improving reporting efficiency
• To shortlist potential vendors in line with sustainable practices
• Submit, review and analyze data on the Earth Check Platform
• Assist and monitor the Earth Check Certification progress
• To create input for internal communication channels and overall awareness
• Enable and encourage employees to provide their sustainability ideas and inputs to the Hotel\'s Green team
• To attend Earth Check meetings
• Assist with the creation of sustainable collateral and distribution
• Assist in the application for relevant awards / recognitions for the hotel
• Assist on revamping of internal sustainability policy and guidelines
• To assist on the planning for internal engagement activities around the hotel\'s sustainability strategy
• Provide administrative support to the Engineering department including maintaining department project list, calendars and vendors contact database
• Assist in monitoring and complying with Singapore Green Plan 2030
• Comply with all Kempinski company policies
