We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a SVP Branch Director.

Principal Responsibilities

  • The primary role purpose of the Branch Director is to lead, develop and manage the sales and service force, drive sales and service strategy, monitor performance and identify development needs in the team
  • Drive strong team performance while embedding a values-led inclusive culture with the immediate team
  • Directing the implementation of strategies to drive and expand customer relationships through consistent sale and servicing of financial service products. The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do
  • The role will need to deliver the Branch Network strategy, being accountable for the implementation of face to face delivery of the Wealth and Personal Banking plan including overall structure, sales performance expectation, Profit & Loss performance and leads management
  • The jobholder has a central role to play in effectively leading and implementing change as an integral part of delivering the business strategy
  • The role will ensure the business is effectively run in accordance with the WPB Operating Model. In delivering the business objectives, role holders must also maintain the highest standards of risk management, control and compliance required by the Group, closely managing and driving the individual and collective performance of the team
  • The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Professional qualifications as appropriate to market
  • Proven financial or branch banking experience preferred
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, including effectively coaching and developing diverse teams
  • Strong sales orientation and portfolio management skills
  • A thorough understanding of a multichannel business model is essential
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Strong ability to use management information to develop tactical plans within the broad context of strategic plans and adapt them as per business requirement
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
