For instance:Position summary:The Counterparty Credit Risk Manager (\xe2\x80\x9cCCR\xe2\x80\x9d) for this role will be a relatively senior-level position based in Hong Kong, within APAC 2nd Line of Defense counterparty credit risk challenge function, direct report to the head of APAC FICC for Wealth Clients, spanning various products extended to a diverse client base of Wealth Management and Markets clients engaged in margin lending, derivatives, and structured lending. Candidate is recommended to have experience managing private clients, family offices and other alternative managers like hedge funds.In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99re expected to:Providing Credit Approval on Counterparty Credit Facilities (i.e. Global Margin Lending, OTC Derivative products etc) for Wealth clients including traditional family Office, Institutional Family officeProvide oversight and challenge for the business covering full range of CCR productsSetting a global culture which demands excellence in analysis, underwriting, monitoring, and drives global consistency across regionsStrong knowledge of Derivatives and structured lendingFacilitate relationships with key clients in Wealth and Risk and with key Regulators (especially for MAS), Internal Audit, and control functionsAs a successful candidate, you\xe2\x80\x99d ideally have the following skills and exposure:13+ years of relevant experience in financial services and risk management requiredProficiency in margin lending, capital markets products and complex financing and product structuresAbility to provide strategic insights and strong sensitivity to macro and regulatory issues, and impact of such issues on the various Risk families, including operational and franchise risksAble to discuss and address issues associated with the allocation of risk assets and risk capital in partnership with banking and product organizationsSignificant risk/risk-related counterparty credit work experience in banking/financial institutions with expertise in the private client, family office and alternative investment counterpartiesProven ability to effectively engage with regulators and internal control functions including Internal Audit and Fundamental Credit Risk as well as with external auditDemonstrates strong ethics and integrityStrong leadership.
