Job Description


Business Function DBS Institutional Banking Group provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region that are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards. Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong, dynamic leadership that mentors, develops, and guides team members to efficiently drive day-to-day operations within the Business Support Unit functions
  • Champion operations best practices and understand SME business needs to support business outcomes
  • Develop strategies to ensure optimal productivity & efficiency and drive initiatives that maintain this alignment
  • Work with cross operational teams (eg CCU, Loan Ops), Business units and Product Management to optimize and integrate the technology/processes required to support the SME business
  • Develop, implement and maintain management tool kit to monitor operation efficiency and drive continuous improvement towards exceeding Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance
  • Set strategic operational goals and KPIs to align with overall business strategy
  • Review financials & manage operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure adherence to operation risk and control policies
  • Drive employees and lead performance reviews, to ensure an engaged and skilled workforce
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree with minimum 10-year experience in Banking & Financial Services Industry, ideally in Banking Operations
  • Experience in managing large operation team & driving business process improvement & transformation initiatives
  • Strong control mindset, with an eye for detail and ability to sieve out key issues and root causes for escalation
  • Positive and proactive & positive attitude to lead and motivate team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player with strong collaborative attitude
