Svp, Senior Credit Officer, Credit Department
Job Description
1. To assess and approve or reject individual credit applications from front offices in Asia Pacific region.
2. To formulate the Bank\'s credit strategy for Asia Pacific region every year in alignment with prescribed Risk Appetite Framework in Asia Pacific Division and execute the strategy
3. To monior and control the Bank\'s credit exposure by each borrower, sector, country and to secure its portfolio is well diversified and risk resilient
4. To lead and supervise Special Credit obligors (pre-non performing loan customers) and take measures for minimizing credit cost
5. To communicate with Head Office (Tokyo) about credit situation in Asia Pacific region and coordinate its credit policy in alignment with Head Office (Tokyo)\'s policy in order to achieve global credit portfolio management in SMBC
Requirements :
- Degree in Business/ Banking & Finance or equivalent
- Min 15 years\' experience in banking
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Strong financial and credit analytical skills
- Strong proficiency in English and Japanese, as the role holder needs to communicate frequently with Head Office
