Role: Systems Analyst (Incident and Problem Management) - 12 months renewable contract

Experience: Minimum of 3 years

Responsibilities:
  • Actively contribute to a Command Centre team responsible for incident and problem management.
  • Assess and validate major incidents according to established processes, promptly managing notifications and escalations.
  • Coordinate and manage recovery actions and plans for major incidents, driving them to resolution.
  • Provide regular updates to management, stakeholders, and users, keeping them informed until incident closure.
  • Collaborate with technical or functional support teams to ensure their active involvement at the appropriate level.
  • Chair major incident technical bridge calls and provide guidance for further escalation, if necessary.
  • Document accurate timelines of recovery plans and activities related to major incidents.
  • Participate in post-incident root cause analysis (RCA) as required and follow up on improvement plans.
  • Maintain awareness of outstanding actions and improvement plans for incidents escalated to the Command Centre, ensuring their timely closure.
  • Generate monthly trend updates on incidents for stakeholders, users, and management.
  • Be available to manage incidents on a 24x7 on-call rotational basis (Monday to Monday shift: on-call ONLY).
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement automation strategies, leveraging knowledge of RPA, Python, Excel, and other relevant tools.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.
  • Work from home and office in a ratio of 3:2 per week, ensuring a balanced approach to remote and in-person work.
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years\' experience as an Incident or Problem Manager in an IT Application Operations environment for a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of Trading, Risk, Treasury & Markets applications will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with event monitoring, incident or problem management tools.
  • Familiarity with Programming (Python, VBA etc.) is preferred
  • Understanding and use of Excel is required (use of Pivots, Formulae\'s, Reporting, Charting)
