To perform installation, maintenance and monitoring of Solaris, AIX, Linux, Windows Servers, web servers and application servers
To support daily operations of the production application systems including duty rostering supports, health monitoring, monthly reports, OS and security patching, recover system failures, troubleshoot and periodically security assessments and enhancements.
To work closely with project teams and vendors to ensure the successful implementation of new projects and service requests.
To assist DBA in maintenance support for Databases.
To embrace new technologies such as Cloud, containers, etc. for new systems/projects
Successful candidate will work with the system team in a fast-paced environment, along with various dynamic project teams on high profile mission-critical systems.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in IT or equivalent experience with Linux/MCSE/Unix Certification(s)
Must have knowledge and working experience of Linux, preferably 2+ years hands-on # Experience in system administration for production systems
Experience in OS patching and upgrade, system security, OS virtualization, HA/clustering, replication, backup and recovery techniques
Working experience in networking (TCP/IP), physical hardware and/or storage systems
Knowledge and hands-on experience of Unix(Solaris or AIX or other Unix) will be advantageous
Knowledge and working experience of apache web server, middleware Websphere/JBOSS/Tomcat, MQ, etc. will be advantageous
Knowledge and experience of SQL Server and Oracle Databases will be advantageous
Knowledge of Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps will be advantageous
Good working attitude, self-motivator and team player
Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Shortlisted candidates will be offered a 1 Year Agency Contract employment.
