Job Description

Responsibilities

• To perform installation, maintenance and monitoring of Solaris, AIX, Linux, Windows Servers, web servers and application servers
• To support daily operations of the production application systems including duty rostering supports, health monitoring, monthly reports, OS and security patching, recover system failures, troubleshoot and periodically security assessments and enhancements.
• To work closely with project teams and vendors to ensure the successful implementation of new projects and service requests.
• To assist DBA in maintenance support for Databases.
• To embrace new technologies such as Cloud, containers, etc. for new systems/projects
• Successful candidate will work with the system team in a fast-paced environment, along with various dynamic project teams on high profile mission-critical systems.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in IT or equivalent experience with Linux/MCSE/Unix Certification(s)
• Must have knowledge and working experience of Linux, preferably 2+ years hands-on # Experience in system administration for production systems
• Experience in OS patching and upgrade, system security, OS virtualization, HA/clustering, replication, backup and recovery techniques
• Working experience in networking (TCP/IP), physical hardware and/or storage systems
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Unix(Solaris or AIX or other Unix) will be advantageous
• Knowledge and working experience of apache web server, middleware Websphere/JBOSS/Tomcat, MQ, etc. will be advantageous
• Knowledge and experience of SQL Server and Oracle Databases will be advantageous
• Knowledge of Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps will be advantageous
• Good working attitude, self-motivator and team player
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Shortlisted candidates will be offered a 1 Year Agency Contract employment.
