Job Description


Job Purpose

As a Maximo Techno-Functional Consultant (System Specialist), you will be responsible for providing technical and functional expertise in the implementation, customization, and support of the Maximo enterprise asset management system. You will work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into effective Maximo solutions. Your role will involve a combination of technical configuration, customization, and functional analysis to ensure the successful deployment and optimization of Maximo.

Responsibilities

1. Maximo Implementation and Configuration:

  • Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements for Maximo implementation.
  • Configure Maximo applications, modules, and workflows to meet client specifications.
  • Customize Maximo user interfaces, reports, and integration interfaces as required.
  • Conduct data mapping, cleansing, and migration activities from SAP and Legacy Maximo.
2. Functional Analysis and Design:
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements using Maximo.
  • Design functional specifications and document workflows, use cases, and system requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Provide recommendations for system enhancements, upgrades, and new feature implementations and advice on industry best practices.
3. Technical Development and Customization:
  • Develop and maintain Maximo customizations using technologies such as Java, and XML.
  • Create and modify Maximo automation scripts, workflows, BIRT and Cognos report, and escalation processes.
  • Perform configurations, including application designer, database configuration, and security setup.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to ensure seamless integration of Maximo with other enterprise systems.
  • Able to build interfaces using Web Services, File Transfer and APIs with SAP and other third party applications.
4. Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and perform system integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues during testing phases.
  • Ensure quality control by conducting thorough reviews and validations of configurations and customizations.
5. Training & Support:
  • Conduct end-user training and provide ongoing support to users during and after Maximo implementation.
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide resolutions to technical and functional issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely and effective support to clients.
6. General:
  • Follow the agreed timeline set by the team leader and ensure no delay of assignment.
  • Work closely with vendors and other team members to troubleshoot complex/interface issues and document solutions.
  • Manage system incident tickets/service request to ensure SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Carry out root-cause analysis, contribute to knowledge base, and provide recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process, and technology.
  • Any other relevant tasks assigned by the managers.
Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with at least 8 years of work experience Maximo with minimum 2 implementation.
  • Proven experience as a Maximo Techno-Functional Consultant or similar role.
  • Experience with Maximo integration frameworks, such as MIF and MEA.
  • Having experience in interfacing with SAP is an advantage.
Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the Maximo enterprise asset management system, including configuration, customization, and integration capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance processes.
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, XML, and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
