Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Made-to-Measure (MTM) Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in creating customized garments based on client measurements, preferences, and fabric choices. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and excellent customer service skills to deliver high-quality, personalized clothing that reflects the brand's standards and client expectations.

Discussing design, alteration, or repair requirements with customers to ensure that their specifications are met. Take accurate body measurements of clients using standard MTM techniques. Consult with clients regarding garment style, fabric choices, fits, and custom preferences. Draft, cut, and sew garments based on individual client specifications and measurements. Adjust and alter garments during fittings to ensure proper fit and finish. Maintain detailed records of client measurements, fittings, and garment specifications. Work with pattern makers and designers when necessary to ensure proper garment construction. Manage timelines and meet deadlines for garment completion and delivery. Handle repairs, restyling, and minor adjustments as needed. Maintain sewing tools, machines, and workspace in good condition. Stay updated on fashion trends, tailoring techniques, and MTM technologies. Taking customers' measurements using a tape measure. Accurately recording customers' measurements, instructions, and preferences. Attaching labels to customers' garments to prevent any errors. Modifying garments according to customer instructions, which includes tapering pant legs, lining sheer garments, removing pockets, and adding padding. Altering garments to improve comfort and fit, which includes shortening sleeves or straps, narrowing lapels, as well as taking in or letting out seams. Repairing customers' garments, which includes patching or sewing tears and holes. Constructing garments for customers based on their design ideas, specifications, and preferences. Providing customers with cost estimates for the construction of customized garments. Maintain strict quality control standards across all aspects of checks, passes, and alterations Manage all inventory and ordering of materials Maintain daily work schedule Oversee employee performance Handle client complaints, questions, and concerns * Assist in recruitment and hiring of tailors
