Job Description
This advertisement is for recruiting for the position of Teacher Assistant. If successfully selected, you will be seconded to a MOE Secondary School located in Woodlands Ring Road.
Contract Period : From 3 July 2023 to 31 Dec 2024. Personnel to be deployed t the following hours:
- Mondays to Fridays: 7.30am to 4.30pm OR 9am to 6pm, inclusive of 1 hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays (unless required by the school)
- Assist in management of late-comers and students performing school service.
- Support care/ learning support programmes eg. GEAR-UP and Lead Our Lives Programmes. These activities are conducted after school/ during school holidays.
- Monitor students who are required to return to school for learning support programme during Home-Based Learning days and school holidays.
- Help out with discipline cases such as manning in-school suspension & detention classes.
- To patrol the school two times a day / search for students who are missing from class.
- Any other duties which the school deems fit
The Person shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Must speak fluent English and have note-taking skills.
- Must be able to engage the students and monitor their well-being and follow-up with relevant activities.
- Matured and firm in dealing with students.
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience
