About the Role



We are looking for a passionate and experienced Teacher Development & Assessment Specialist to join our Singapore team. This role focuses on Chinese language assessment development and teacher professional training, with participation in curriculum alignment and educational research. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening our academic rigor by developing effective assessment tools, guiding teachers through professional learning, and ensuring that our teaching standards align with Singapore's MOE expectations.


Key Responsibilities



1. Teacher Training & Professional Development


Design and implement systematic training programs for Chinese language teachers, including: MOE Chinese syllabus and assessment standards Reading comprehension, composition, and oral exam pedagogy Lesson observation, feedback, and classroom engagement techniques Localized parent communication and student motivation strategies Build and maintain a structured professional development framework. Mentor teachers to elevate instructional quality and assessment literacy.
2. Assessment Design & Development


Lead the design of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments for Chinese language learners (P1-P6). Develop and review assessment items (reading comprehension, composition, oral communication) aligned with MOE rubrics. Establish and maintain a question bank with calibrated difficulty and standardised marking schemes. Analyze student performance data to refine test quality and learning outcomes. Support the design of benchmark tests and mock exams for different learner levels.
3. Curriculum Consultation & Local Alignment


Provide expert input on curriculum frameworks and ensure assessment components align with MOE expectations. Support the curriculum team with insights into local exam trends and learning objectives. Participate in review cycles to ensure content relevance, fairness, and academic integrity.
4. Academic & Community Engagement


Represent LingoAce at teacher workshops, academic forums, and parent events. Share insights on Chinese language learning, assessment design, and examination preparation. Contribute to LingoAce's positioning as a trusted, MOE-aligned education brand.

Requirements



Former or current MOE-certified Chinese language teacher in Singapore. Bachelor's degree or above in Chinese Language, Chinese Studies, or Chinese Language Education. Minimum 5 years of full-time teaching experience in MOE primary or secondary schools. Deep understanding of MOE assessment frameworks and exam formats. Strong bilingual communication skills (English and Chinese). Proven ability to design training, create assessments, and mentor teachers.
Preferred Qualifications


Experience in test paper design, moderation, or marking standardization. Background in teacher training or curriculum consultancy. Familiarity with blended or online learning environments.

Compensation and Benefits



Basic salary range - SGD5,000 - 8,000 Annual leave - 16 days Flexible benefits - SGD800 per year Medical and hospitalization insurance
