Job Description


What the role is:To assist in the formation and development of Community Development Council (CDC) in the district, thereby promoting social cohesion, community bonding and racial harmony. Concurrently, to develop and scale-up Healthy Living programmes which are sustainable and effective, to enhance impact and benefits to residents.Assist Deputy General Manager/ Senior Manager in formulating, implementing and reviewing plans for the development of CDC to achieve community goals.

  • Lead and guide a team of Managers/Assistant Managers to work closely with North West CDC\'s Council Members to conceptualise, plan and implement Healthy Living programmes to meet the needs of the community.
  • Lead and oversee development and implementation of joint projects/programmes with community stakeholders.
  • Manage projects/portfolios planning and execution, ensuring alignment with organisation goals and objectives
  • Build and strengthen relationship with existing stakeholders (i.e. schools, community organisations, various government agencies), and develop new networks and contacts to enhance the reach and impact of Healthy Living programmes.
  • Supervise and guide Managers/ Assistant Managers to ensure project targets are met. To plan relevant targets for and with Managers/Assistant Managers.
  • Develops, supervises and guides Managers and Assistant Managers in the daily operations of the Council to carry out tasks efficiently so as to achieve CDC\'s targets.
  • Provides administrative/logistical support and guidance to the Council, GROs and project joint partners to facilitate effective implementation of their activities.
  • Submits progress reports on the Council to PA Headquarters, thereby facilitating communication and coordination between the Council and PA.
Requirements:
  • Relevant knowledge or experience from work in previous voluntary/community activities/ sports-related sector would be preferred.
  • Prior experience in stakeholder engagement or community outreach would be added advantage
  • Knowledge of 2nd language is useful (e.g. Mandarin, Malay or Tamil).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate network and relationships with stakeholders
  • Able to attend night meetings and events on weekends if required.
