Role Responsibilities Job Scope The team The successful candidate will be part of the Solution Delivery team within Global Credit Markets and Equity Technology and Digital Solutions team, part of the wider FM technology organization. We support Corporate Finance, Equities and Credit Trading business lines. We are a business-first team with diverse skillset across trading, coverage, risk, product management and technology, who work with frontline, risk, MO and ops SMEs to build tech solutions to business problems and are ably supported by BAs, developers and QA from our squads.

The role holder will be expected to work flexibly across three areas of focus, and apply cross-learning effectively:

  • F2B technology for Equity and Equity Derivatives technology driving change across Execution, Trade Life Cycle, Risk and Valuation, Back office.
  • Listed securities and ETD trading across multiple execution platforms.
Candidate background
  • With banks or product companies with strong business analysis skills.
  • Working on solution delivery either supporting business directly, or as a part of wider system rollouts.
  • Ability to work under ambiguous business environments to provide clarity and facilitate discussions to reach consensus/business decisions.
  • Good problem-solving capabilities and execution.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong scope and accountability management.
  • Strong regular communication highlighting impediments and requesting help where required / reporting to management on progress.
  • Good understanding of Exchange Traded Derivatives and Equity Derivatives.
  • Good knowledge of Financial Market processes (Trade processing, Life cycling, Risk, back office, etc.)
Relevant experiences in financial markets or corporate finance technology
  • Business analysis in an agile setting.
  • Gathering requirements and writing clear functional specifications / stories and getting them delivered.
  • Delivering interface analysis and data modelling.
  • Translating requirements / business problems into a clear set of technical specifications forming a solution. Maintain JIRA backlog, establish traceability to business vision and objectives, act as SME for users.
  • Obtain stakeholder buy-in and sign-off on business requirements.
  • Adhere to change management standards & procedures, including documenting and capturing all artefacts (Requirements, FSDs, Data Dictionaries, Sign-offs, Minutes of meetings) required by project governance.
  • Managing and removing impediments and providing pro-active day-to-day support to users across key owned / supported systems / interfaces.
Functional skills
  • Strong Functional knowledge on Exchange traded Derivatives from trade order origination, execution and clearing.
  • Knowledge of global operating models.
  • Building order managers, gateway and order lakes.
  • Expertise with of Low latency Execution platforms, connectivity to exchanges and Algos.
  • Strong knowledge on the Market Risk, Credit Risk, Valuation and reporting methodology.
  • Understanding on how to source the ETD Market data, reference data and integration with vendors.
  • In-depth understanding of FIX protocols and data transformation and modelling to feed systems using FpML.
Technology skills
  • Hands on experience with execution platform like Bloomberg Tradeboook, Fidessa, TT Xtrader, Neovest, CQG.
  • Network connectivity, Leased line and Security.
  • Experience with Risk Management systems SABRE/Murex.
  • Expertise with Big data tools used for trade and order lakes.
  • Realtime Interface design, Messaging systems like EDMI/solace/Kafka.
  • Strong data munging skills including SQL, Python and GuI tools (e.g., Dremio).
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools/systems (risk, transaction booking systems) and understanding technology and functional designs.
  • Strong knowledge on basic BA toolkit: Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, Confluence.
Soft skills
  • Fluent in Business Communication (speaking and writing).
  • Strong interpersonal skills; good team spirit. Able to influence to drive work using informal pathways.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to tailor messages for highest impact depending on audience (technical vs business) and seniority.
  • Proactive, self-starter, autonomous; able to independently drive analysis, design, development, delivery in greenfield areas.
  • Self-motivated, multi-tasking, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution oriented with proven results.
  • Curious; willing to dive into the details and understand concepts, graph relationships, interdependencies effectively, but also judicious on time spent vs materiality/benefit
  • Business mindset: able to triage asks, justify priority based on cost/benefit, and demonstrate value using defined metrics. Continuous tracking of KPIs.
  • Meticulous on documentation; maintains clear JIRA backlog, detailed Confluence pages, artefacts on any solutions built.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Advanced degree (masters or MBA equivalent) in finance, statistics or a STEM discipline
  • 8+ years\' experience in Execution platforms
  • FRM or PRM, CQF
  • Agile certifications like CSM
  • PMI certified PMP or PMI-PBA
