Get to know the Role We are looking for a Technical Content Developer that loves to learn and communicate information clearly, concisely, and accurately. As a content developer, you play a crucial hands-on role in building a knowledge management culture across the technical families at Grab. In this role, you will plan, develop, and drive execution of tech onboarding and training initiatives that have a tremendous impact on the engineers in the organization. The Day-to-Day Activities As a Technical Content Developer, you are expected to: Manage technical documentation across teams and support Documentation-as-Code initiatives. Drive and manage program strategy for technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and on-demand learning initiatives, and constantly find ways of improving processes in a data-driven manner. Create training materials for technical onboarding. Build a world-class Engineering onboarding program by planning and executing initiatives that have multiple-touch points of the employee journey. Run onboarding and training programs, tracking completion and impact, in order to develop a strong pipeline of talents across the different engineering roles in tech families. Run experiments when needed. Work closely with content and curriculum developers on the planning and coordination of various learning initiatives. Support in establishing a strong technical documentation culture transforming Grab engineering into an active knowledge sharing organization. Evangelize Grab's technical brand by driving blog creation (and publishing) both internally and externally. Work closely with engineers to create clear-and-concise technical documentation for internal and external engineering platforms. Copyedit, clarify, and proofread documentation written by others. Lead and actively participate in documentation planning with engineering teams and product management. Help drive and review the overall team strategy and tactics, helping improve Grab's documentation and learning culture. Identify user pain points and business needs to assess documentation and training requirements. Collaborate across multiple engineering teams and manage projects related to technical documentation or training. Manage project schedule, identify risk and clearly communicate goals to project stakeholders. Validate documentation with diligent testing. The Must-Haves Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely. Demonstrated ability to learn technical concepts quickly. 2+ years of experience in technical writing, product documentation, or other related fields. Experience working directly with development teams, obtaining information through research and interviews, and testing and validating documentable features and concepts. Experience writing for software technologies, infrastructure, or microservices (a big plus). Passionate about promoting a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization. Strong capabilities to build programs end to end, from the identification of the problem to solve to the measurement of business impact. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across various functional teams. A self-starter with a start-up attitude - willing to work hard and take initiative to get things done in a highly-ambiguous and a fast paced environment. Outstanding problem-solving ability and a demonstration of enthusiasm, initiative, and the ability to learn fast. Conflict management. The Nice-to-Haves Expertise with development tools and delivering documentation for engineering teams. Solid understanding of information hierarchies and content strategy. Software industry experience Employee onboarding experience. Basic graphic design and video editing skills. Exposure to content development tools like Canva, Stripo etc. Collaborative, creative, empathetic, and curious, with a proactive and open-minded attitude to resolving problems and delivering results.
