Assist and support technical superintendents in organizing, coordinating, monitoring, and following up on outstanding items, defect reports, repairs, and scheduling onboard services (external providers, service stations, etc.).
Aid in organizing services for dry-dockings under the direction of technical superintendents.
Track and monitor vessels\' technical superintendent attendance intervals, follow up on reports and deficiencies, and ensure proper filing and record maintenance.
Oversee the status of Class, LSA, FFA, and other related certificates, coordinating their renewals. Maintain the certificate monitoring system, liaise with class societies, and arrange class attendances.
Provide technical assistance, documentation, and support to shipboard personnel for the operation and maintenance of vessel machinery and equipment. Ensure correct record-keeping practices are upheld onboard, and all reports, forms, and records are received, reviewed, and filed in a timely manner.
Ensure company policies and procedures are followed within the department. Collect vessel performance data for technical department KPI reporting.
Input technical data, service reports, purchasing, invoicing, certification, and other relevant technical information into the companys system.
Occasionally attend vessels as needed.
Provide any other required assistance to the Fleet Manager.
Requirements:
University degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture with at least 2 years of experience in a technical department within the shipping industry.
