ERM is seeking a self-driven, motivated Technical Director in the area of impact assessment and planning - Capital Project Delivery Services (CPD) - to be based in Singapore or Jakarta, to lead our growing CPD team in Indonesia. You will provide business and technical leadership to a strong and growing team of consultants in Jakarta; deliver high profile projects, generate new business and develop excellent client relationships.

In addition, you will play a key role in further developing ERM\xe2\x80\x99s Capital Project Delivery (CPD) business in Singapore and across South & East Asia, when required.

Further, you will become part of the regional CPD-leadership team, helping to shape its strategy for growth and enhancing ERM\xe2\x80\x99s reputation as the leading global provider of capital project delivery services.

ERM\xe2\x80\x99s CPD-teams are typically involved in delivering our world class: Environmental and Social Impact Assessments; Biodiversity and Ecological Services (terrestrial and marine); Social Performance and Human Rights; and Resettlement Action Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide business, technical leadership and line management to teams of Consultants based in Jakarta Indonesia.

Able to travel to Indonesia on a frequent basis.

Manage and provide technical lead for high profile CPD projects in the Power and Renewables, Oil & Gas, Land Development, Chemical and Technology sectors, adding value and bringing innovation.

Establish and develop long-term senior level relationships with Key Clients in Indonesia.

Prepare proposals for Jakarta, Singapore and South-East Asia region, offering an in-depth understanding of client needs and values and proposing effective solutions to ensure ERM has the best chance of success.

Direct projects as PM or Principal Technical Advisor, selecting the best teams, effectively negotiating objectives, deliverables and contractual arrangements and achieving project profitability in order to ensure projects are delivered to agreed specification, on time and within budget.

To provide advice to ERM Clients covering the Power, O&G, Land Development, Chemical & Petrochemical and Technology sectors on the latest developments in Impact Assessment, Project Approvals, Environment and Social Management and non-technical risk management.

Contribute to the overall development of ERM\xe2\x80\x99s CPD business, working with ERM\xe2\x80\x99s regional CPD team to generate ideas for new services and ways to improve existing ones in order for ERM to grow as a business.

Raise ERM\xe2\x80\x99s profile in CPD by presenting papers at key international conferences.

Requirements:

MSc or similar, in Environmental Science / Engineering or other science or engineering degree relevant to impact assessment and environmental / social management.

Minimal 15 years of work experience in South and East Asia.

Strong knowledge of priority sectors (Power, O&G, Land Development, Chemical and Technology sectors).

Good understanding of Indonesian and global regulatory environment and proceedings around large scale investments and its synergies / overlap / differences with international performance standards.

Ability to lead and work with multi-cultural teams.
