Your role

Are you excited about designing and maintaining efficient and concise data pipelines? Do you want to use your expertise and analytical skills to analyze, design and implement complex Data flows? Do you want to play a key role in transforming our firm into an Agile based DevOps organization?

We\'re looking for a Technical Engineer to:

• Engage with colleagues at all levels to drive delivery within an agile framework
• Understand UBS internal and vendor data models and design/implement data transformations between different systems (sourcing UBS data into vendor tool and vendor Data into UBS MIS solutions)
• Help the team in their agile journey to implement DevOps best practices
• Understand and help in adoption of modern DevOps tooling such as GitOps, Ansible, Azure and Kubernetes
• Identify and drive opportunities for automation and end-to-end observability
• Contribute to the reduction of security and operational risks

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned in pods to offer to products fulfilling client needs. You\'ll be working in a cross location team based in Singapore involved with Corporate Actions processing.

Your expertise

• you have in-depth experience with ETL data transformations using Informatica PowerCenter but also have a good overview on cloud-based alternatives and why these may offer a suitable migration path
• you are no stranger to SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle), NoSQL technologies (e.g. CosmosDB) and Python to automate your data pipelines efficiently
• you have a history of evaluating options for a new project, weigh their pros/cons and articulate them concisely to reach a decision with stakeholders.
• you are a seasoned Linux user preferably in corporate environments
• you are capable of an end to end implementation from specifying requirements and test, to developing the solution and automated tests through to packaging and deployment to Production
• you\'re inquisitive, reason about and challenge existing choices where you know of a better solution
• you consider sustainability for your solutions, in terms of technical documentation for your fellow team members as well as overall end-to-end observability
• a functional background in Corporate Actions is of benefit
