Job Description

Role:

• Assist in preparing and reviewing technical reports and maintenance records.
• Support the Fleet Manager in organizing and monitoring maintenance schedules and repair activities.
• Track and address technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
• Update and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, compliance certificates, and safety records.
• Ensure vessel operations adhere to maritime regulations and industry standards.
• Assist in preparing documentation for inspections, audits, and regulatory evaluations.
• Serve as a point of contact between ship management, crew, and shore-based technical teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for procuring parts and services, when required.
• Arrange and participate in technical meetings, providing necessary support.
• Assist in analyzing technical data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of technical procedures and best practices.
• Provide support during emergencies, such as technical failures or incidents, aiding in troubleshooting and resolution.

• Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in ship management, marine engineering, or a related technical field is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of shipboard systems and technical operations.
• Competence in handling technical documentation and managing data.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
• Relevant maritime certifications or qualifications are desirable.
