Job summary
The Asia-Pacific (APAC) Data Center Capacity Planning team is seeking a highly-skilled & driven Technical Infrastructure Program Manager who will help drive the team toward our mission of building durable and reliable data-informed processes within AWS Infrastructure. As a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager on this team, you will operate as the APAC region's single-threaded owner for a global program to reduce the number of data center server racks "on hold". The goal of this program is to improve the rack order-to-land process for both network and server racks, reduce the number of racks that are blocked by various sytems, minimize the dwell time of racks on hold, and drive implementation of mechanisms that address root causes. The ideal candidate has experience managing global infrastructure projects/programs; developing, monitoring, and reporting project/program health metrics; leading cross-functional teams; developing and implementing change management plans; and training and mentoring performance. You will be responsible for organizing and managing continuous improvement and process initiatives and play a significant role in developing, driving and managing scalable, data-driven processes.
The primary responsibilities from the Technical Infrastructure Program Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead planning, execution, and delivery tasks of multiple project/programs simultaneously.
Determine process health metrics and key performance indicators and develop data visualization reports illustrating process health.
Own regional goals. Maintain weekly reporting and inputs into regional Weekly Business Reviews and similar internal forums.
Goal tracking and metrics performance.
Perform root cause analysis and implement mechanisms to drive resolution of racks on hold.
Identify process improvement opportunities and gather user requirements with key internal customers.
Develop standard operating procedures, change/communication plans, and project/program-level status updates.
Drive adoption with internal customers through effective change management.
Anticipate potential issues and risks, and escalate appropriately and in a timely manner.
Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.
Advanced forecast modeling techniques including safety stock optimization and sensitivity analysis
Experience with business intelligence and data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau)
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, Perl, Unix/Linux, Visual Basic or other programming languages
3-5 years of Supply Chain planning experience, e.g., forecasting, planning, scheduling
