The Technical Manager will oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of all company vehicles and equipment. This role involves managing workshop staff, coordinating with external service providers, and ensuring compliance with LTA and MOM safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise all vehicle maintenance, inspection, and repair activities.
Plan and schedule preventive maintenance for the company's truck and trailer fleet.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy vehicles.
Manage a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor workshop expenses, parts usage, and maintenance costs.
Ensure all vehicles comply with LTA, NEA, and company safety regulations.
Coordinate with operations for vehicle allocation and downtime management.
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and contractors for spare parts and external services.
Maintain proper documentation of servicing records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
Implement continuous improvement plans to enhance vehicle performance and reduce breakdowns.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).
experience in heavy vehicle maintenance or fleet management.
Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Experience in managing a workshop and leading a technical team.
Good understanding of Singapore's vehicle inspection and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.
Requirements :
