The RoleWorking location: Mount Elizabeth Novena HospitalTo assist department Manager in performing planned preventive maintenance / inspection, commissioning, evaluation and repair maintenance on biomedical equipment.Key Results Area
a. Execute planned preventive maintenance schedule within the stipulated time duration.
b. Comply with relevant national and international standards and performances established by the department.
c. Be involved in the Commissioning of newly acquired equipment by the facility
d. Assist in evaluation of new equipment intended to be purchased by the facility.
e. Perform on call duties and respond to emergency breakdown call in an efficient and timely manner.
f. Assist in other duties of the Department and be involved in any special project as assigned.
g. To maintain good working relationship with all other departments.
h. To ensure proper repair and maintenance done by contract service providers.Key accountabilitiesTo carry out preventive maintenance of medical equipment every month and complete within the scheduled month.
To learn and use bio-medical test equipment such as electrical safety analyzer
To be able to carry out Repair and Maintenance of faulty medical equipment.
To be able to perform commissioning of newly purchased medical equipment or Loan equipment brought into hospital for use with equipment vendor.
To assist in disposal of condemned medical equipment.
Perform on call duties and respond to emergency breakdown call in an efficient and timely manner.
To assist Manager during MOH and Quality audits in providing maintenance records.
Updating of Maintenance Records in the AIMS database and electronic work order system for preventive and corrective maintenance.
To ensure proper repair and maintenance done by outsourced vendors.
To be able to read equipment manual on troubleshooting and maintenance of medical equipment.
To be a good team player and maintain good working relationship with users.Qualifications & ExperiencePoly technic diploma in Electronics or Bio-medical Engineering or Electrical or Computer Engineering with preferably one year experience in Hospital or Medical Device industry.
ITE (Higher NITEC) in Electrical and Electronics with minimum three years of experience in hospital or medical equipment servicing.Candidates who have done internship with Hospitals in biomedical engineering department or bio-medical equipment vendor will be preferred.
Computer literate and able to use basic office tools such as MS Word and MS Excel.Additional InformationAbility to read and understand Schematics and circuit diagrams, use equipment service and user manual in maintenance and repair of equipment.
Must be able to communicate well with both internal and external customer.
Expected to perform On Call duty when assigned and upon activated during emergency.
