About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Technical Operations Engineer to support the day-to-day functioning and upkeep of complex facility systems. The role involves ensuring operational reliability, compliance with safety standards, and close coordination with internal teams, contractors, and clients to maintain high-performance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily facility operations and maintenance, and provide regular performance reports. Ensure all operational and maintenance activities adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Conduct routine inspections and upkeep of critical systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection infrastructure. Collaborate with client and internal engineering teams to ensure compliance with regulations, safety protocols, and operational procedures. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance equipment longevity. Prepare contingency plans to address system interruptions or emergencies. Provide on-call technical support for critical operational issues. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, coordinating with vendors and service providers for resolution. Review operational logs and take corrective actions as needed to ensure facility performance. Supervise contractor activities on site, ensuring compliance with internal standards and safety procedures. Coordinate site activities such as:

Power management operations


Equipment installation and relocation


System data logging and tracking


Minor operational tasks contributing to overall facility reliability
Work closely with project teams during construction, commissioning, and upgrades to ensure proper system installation and functionality. Monitor and optimize energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 1 year of experience in technical operations, facilities management, or engineering in critical or complex environments. Strong knowledge of large-scale mechanical and electrical infrastructure, with attention to detail in maintenance and documentation. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, manuals, and using maintenance management software and troubleshooting tools. Workplace safety certification (WSQ/WSH) preferred. Proactive, positive attitude with strong ethical standards. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
