Monitor, manage and report the day to day technical operation and performance of assigned vessels, in
conjunction with the onboard management, to ensure that applicable requirements to safety, quality, energy
efficiency and environmental performance are met
Closely monitor and ensure compliance with statutory, class and other third party requirements for assigned
vessels.
Reporting To the Fleet Manager for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the vessel under responsibility at
all times, vessels to remain fully compliant with Class and Statutory requirements and operate with total
compliance within Safety Management System
Budget Compliance Ensure maintenance and repair in accordance with company standards and within
approved budget. Deviation approvals and timely reporting
Conditioning monitoring prepare formal reports as to the condition, performance and costs associated with
managed vessels
Travel undertake regular ships visits to ensure that vessels meet the company's criteria for safe effective
operations. International travel is expected at any time and must be available on short notice
Coordinate activities of all support departments to ensure that ship support is achieved in the most efficient
and cost effective manner
Arrange for all spares, repairs modifications, surveys and services to comply with statutory requirements and
company standards
Dry docking and repairs attend the ship during dry docking and major repair periods in order to ensure that all
necessary work and repairs are satisfactorily completed within agreed budgets
Communication effective communication with internal and external stake holders
Closely monitor Guarantee Defects, liaise with yards for successful claims and ensure repairs are closed out
effectively
Actively participate in the development of the quality management system, manage status of nonconformities
and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmental procedures
Implement procedures laid out in the Company Quality manuals and other instructions as issued by
management including updating records, drawings, manuals etc in accordance with applicable Management of
Change routines
Professional Work Experience
Sailed onboard as Engineer and preferable few years on Ocean going Bulk and Container Carriers trading world
wide
Possess in-depth knowledge on Scrubbers, ME Type Engine and Ballast Water Treatment System
Hold Chief Engineer COC
12 years Shore Experience
