Our Risk Assurance Practice provides an invaluable safeguard in today’s complex operating environment with insights and independent assurance. We work with clients to deliver business control to help them to protect and strengthen every aspect of their business from people to performance, systems to strategy, business plans to business resilience. We help clients manage, mitigate and control risks from potential cybersecurity breaches to possible breaks in the supply chain. We assess and prepare businesses by looking into their technology, finance, data analytics, regulatory requirements, data security and privacy, internal audit, and the third parties our clients rely on, to help clients deliver quality results and meet their strategic objectives.

Our Asia Pacific Digital Products Technology Risk & Quality team collaborates with PwC practice leaders to develop and deliver technology solutions with the focus being on ensuring that risks are understood and mitigated, and quality is ensured. We advise territory digital products teams and SMEs (enablers) primarily on technology risk matters associated with the procurement, development and/or use of technology solutions internally by the firm or as part of the delivery of services to clients, while complying with network policies and ensuring quality.

Simply put, you will solve business problems using technology, work with multiple teams across the region, and be able to take pride in contributing and shaping our direction as we work to support one of Asia Pacific’s key growth areas.

About The Role The role will focus on the following areas:

  • Support the technology review processes for Asia Pacific
  • Further developing our technology risk and quality review processes
  • Acting as an advisor in risk and quality areas to digital products teams who wish to import or export a technology
  • Working with our technology team to enhance the systems we use to manage the technology risk and quality review processes
  • Working with global and regional teams on risk and quality topics.
You will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
  • Develop new skills outside of your comfort zone
  • Act to resolve issues which prevent the team from working effectively
  • Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
  • Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making
  • Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients
  • Take ownership of the administrative tasks for projects going through the technology risk approval process including setting up and populating the appropriate filing structure for the documentation and keeping relevant trackers up to date;
  • Take an active role in supporting the Asia Pacific Technology Risk & Quality team operations including things like supporting the delivery of key strategic projects, communications, process improvement, knowledge sharing etc.
  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties
  • Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
  • Managing requirements, project schedules and building plans to deliver;
  • Navigating flexibility and willing to fill in the gaps rather than relying on others;
  • Demonstrating flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change;
  • Demonstrating proven ability to identify and address changing needs of the business and risk management across the firm;
  • Maintaining relationships, building credibility, and influencing and managing expectations through collaboration;
  • Portraying confidence in communicating, facilitating, writing and presenting cogently to all levels of stakeholders;
  • Understanding of technology and information security concepts and designs to support risk evaluation efforts; and
  • Understanding of the product development life-cycle is a plus.
