Job descriptionKey Accountabilities Primary Tasks: Quality Systems Ensure the utilisation of systems, the accurate capture of data and administration processes followed for the operation and reporting required by the company. Ensure that all activities and services delivered adhere to the company's Quality policies, client preferences and expectations. Follow all Steel Pencil's internal standards and, where applicable industry standards and regulations, including customers and suppliers proprietary standards for construction. Ensures that all design requests and/or changes are documented, approved and managed. Control is maintained over projects with clear supporting documentation.Checking To ensure the utilisation and adherence of checking procedures as documented in the Company Quality System ensuring the drawings meet required standards.Continuous Improvement Identify and implement improvements to areas under your influence such as version control and quality systems.Detailing To provide accurate, complete and timely detailing services to clients within budget, by you and your project team.Planning and Documentation Plan activities and work flow so that the project is completed on time. Ensure that all documentation required by customer is available and accurate.Project Planning To assist in the Project Manager in the completion of project plans prior or during a project for all projects.Brand and Company Culture Ensure Steel Pencils brand values are evidenced in the team dynamic and customer engagement Other tasks as directed by Manager and/or managementCompetencies, Industry Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge and AbilityCompetencies: AutoCAD - Desktop Applications: 13 - 36 months experience CAD Software - ProSteel 3D - Desktop Applications: 36+ months experience CAD Software - Tekla Structures - Desktop Applications: 36+ months experience MS Excel - Desktop Applications: 13 - 36 months experience MS Outlook - Desktop Applications: 13 - 36 months experience MS Word - Desktop Applications: 13 - 36 months experienceIndustry Experience: Experience in the Construction/Building industry is essential Experience in the Engineering - Structural industry is essential Experience in the Engineering - Mechanical industry is desirable Experience in the Manufacturing - Steel Fabrication industry is essential Experience in the Markets - Australasia industry is desirable Experience in the Trades industry is desirableQualifications: Bachelor of Engineering Bachelor of Architecture Structural Detailer - 3+ years' experience with Tekla Structures, Prosteel or other 3D Cad Software. Checker - 8+ years' experience with Tekla Structures, Prosteel or other 3D Cad Software.
