What the role is:We are looking for a Blood Professional Assistant to be part of the Blood Services Group (BSG), Blood Resources Division (Blood bank team), where the incumbent will play a key role in securing the nations\' blood supply. In this front-facing role, the individual will perform essential blood collection support duties in a dynamic and close-knit team. Successful applicants will be placed on a Temporary 1-year contract with our appointed recruitment agency. Working Location: If selected, you will be deployed to one of our fixed collection sites or mobile team. The deployment is based on operational needs. HSA blood banks are located at HSA (Outram), WestGate Tower, Woodlands Civic Centre, Dhoby Exchange, and One Punggol. For more information regarding the individual location\'s operational hours, please visit: https://www.hsa.gov.sg/blood-donation/where-to-donateWhat you will be working on:Responsibilities:- \xe2\x80\xa2 As a first point of contact with Donors at our blood collection centres, you will handle enquires, assist with next appointment bookings, and manage feedback accordingly. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform registration duties which include registering donor for donation and phlebotomy linking. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct haemoglobin testing and capping which includes taking blood for haemoglobin test, explaining to donor on deferral if required, checking, sorting blood bags and sample tubes before passing it to the laboratory. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support blood collection team with necessary Operational Admin follow up duties. \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidates with who are competent Phlebotomists may be considered for Senior Blood Professional Assistant role and will be deployed to support blood collection operations within donation rooms.What we are looking for:Requirements:- \xe2\x80\xa2 Team members must be able to support morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts, across a 5-day work week. Due to operational requirements, team members working in Blood Resources Division are expected to work both weekends. Their rest and off days will be on weekdays. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to engage and communicate well with donors, with good spoken English. \xe2\x80\xa2 Works well in a fast-paced, team-based environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Reasonably fit and able to stand for long hours. \xe2\x80\xa2 Meticulous and pays attention to details.
