Sports & Outdoor Education Branch (PSOEB)-till Dec 2022

The primary functions of a Temp SE are to assist in implementing and monitoring the SP-CCA(Athletics/Water Polo) on-site. He/She is to work closely with PSOEB officers, SportSG representatives and coaches on administration and training related matters.

The Temp SEs are expected to implement and monitor the SP-CCA(Athletics/ Water Polo ) programme by:

1. Managing the Implementation of the SP-CCA programmes

a) Maintain and update attendance of students' participation.

b) Maintain and stock-keep of equipment required for all SP-CCA activities.

c) Provide feedback on the programme; student and coaches to PSOEB Officers / SportSG representatives.

d) Monitor the participation of the student athletes and take appropriate action on absentees, incidents by informing PSOEB officers for further follow up.

e) Monitor SP-CCA activities that safety measures are adhered to.

Temp SE will be briefed and trained prior to commencement of deployment at SP-CCA training venue(s).

2. Working with stakeholders

a) Maintain good communication with the parents of student athletes where applicable.

b) Maintain good rapport with the coaches and assist them on training and safety matter.

Other possible areas of responsibilities

In addition to the primary functions that the Sports Executive is expected to perform, they can also contribute to the following areas:

a) Assist the coaches in injury management.

b) While athletics background is not required, executive must demonstrate a willingness to understand the nature & conduct of the sport.

PSOEB Officers have flexibility to manage the specific job areas of the Temporary Sports Executive based on SP-CCA programme needs and priorities.
