We are looking for a Territory Manager for our Interventional Cardiology business. It requires someone with a strong clinical aptitude that can work in a team environment. Responsibilities unique to this position are having a good understanding of the issues and challenges in the industry and being able to build strong relationships with the physicians and the staff. In Interventional Cardiology (IC) we design, develop, and produce technologies for diagnosing and treating coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular disorders. Medical Conditions we provide solutions for include: Cardiovascular Diseases, Coronary Artery Disease, Acute Myocardial Infarction. We are able to provide a number of solutions to patients that include: Drug-Eluting Stents, Bare-Metal Stents, Catheters, Balloons, Guide Wires, Coronary Atherectomy and Coronary Intravascular Ultrasound. We have a robust product line and pipeline, and we will continue to make an investment in Interventional treatments.

The Territory Manager, IC, need to possess strong sales and business planning skills so as to sell and promote company products, achieve customer satisfaction and, drive growth within a defined territory. This will be accomplished by developing new accounts and expanding usage of company products within current accounts to meet company objectives and sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the drivers, products and services of this business and BSC competitors. Able to solve a variety of issues of varying scope and complexity or come up with new solutions.
  • Visit customers and/or potential customers of Boston Scientific on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager.
  • Manage existing and acquire new customers in the assigned territory under general supervision of the Manager.
  • Plan and develop the market for our existing and new products according with divisional goals and objectives, through execution, while optimize available tools (consignment, etc).
  • Provide ongoing technical training and support to customers directly in the cathlabs
  • Cultivate strong business relationships with hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff and be their competent go-to person.
  • Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
  • Analyze and report to the Manager and/or others (monthly & year basis) the market and business feedback by using all available support tools.
  • To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity.
  • To participate in the development of less experienced team members
  • Upon request may lead a project team of moderate scope.
Key Skills & Experiences
  • BS/BA degree in business/scientific specialization
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similarly Territory Manager capacity/role, preferably in the healthcare field. Candidates with lesser experience may also apply and will be considered for a less senior role
  • Independent and fast learner with ability to pick up technical/ clinical knowledge of BSC products fast.
  • Proven track record of planning and (over) achieving sales goals consistently
  • Strong ability to engage and interact with customers in a variety of settings including tradeshows / conferences, market research, advisory boards, and field interactions
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Be able to attend cases and provide support in the operating room.
