Our Client is a reputable firm looking at constructing various civil projects in Singapore. The Test Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing all testing activities related to the construction of new water facilities. The role involves ensuring that all systems, components, and processes meet the required technical specifications and regulatory standards before the facility is commissioned. This is a key role in maintaining the quality and safety of Singapore\'s water infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures based on project specifications and industry regulatory requirements.
- Identify testing requirements, including necessary equipment, resources, and scheduling.
- Conduct tests on water treatment systems, pipelines, pumps, and related infrastructure to ensure functionality, durability, and safety.
- Perform various types of testing including functional testing, performance testing, stress testing, and safety testing.
- Utilize testing tools and instruments to gather and analyze data, ensuring all results are accurate and reliable.
- Ensure all tests are conducted in accordance with established quality management systems and standards.
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot any defects or issues that arise during testing.
- Work closely with the engineering and construction teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
- Document all test results, methodologies, and observations clearly and comprehensively.
- Prepare detailed test reports for review by senior management, project stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain and update all test records, ensuring they are easily accessible for audits and reviews.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory changes that may impact testing procedures and requirements.
- Collaborate with the design, construction, and quality assurance teams to integrate testing processes seamlessly into the project workflow.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other engineers and technicians involved in testing activities.Key Requirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Certification in quality assurance or testing methodologies is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing engineering, preferably within the construction or water facilities sectors.
- Proven experience in conducting and analyzing tests for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and industry standards.
- Proficient in using test equipment and software relevant to water facilities (e.g., pressure testing equipment, data loggers).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
