Job Responsibilities:

Set up tools for production and perform unloading for tool repair and preventive maintenance. Repair and maintain stamping dies to meet daily production targets and ensure part quality. Prepare tools for changeover processes. Propose tool improvements to address recurring issues. Troubleshoot and adjust tooling on stamping machines. Change and set up production equipment as needed. Assist Process Engineers in managing tooling spare parts inventory and requisitions. Conduct product measurements based on drawing specifications during first-piece setup, using instruments like Tool Maker's Microscope, Micrometer, Profile Projector, and Smart Scope. Follow and maintain existing documentation systems in alignment with Lean Manufacturing guidelines. Participate in Lean workshops when required. Adhere to safe work practices and maintain high safety standards. Uphold a good 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) work environment. Operate basic tool room equipment such as Surface Grinders, Drilling, and Milling machines.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of NTC 2 in Tool & Die Making or a Diploma in Tool & Die Making or Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or equivalents. At least 5 years of experience in the High-Speed Stamping industry. Proficient in reading product and tooling drawings. Ability to troubleshoot tooling issues based on die strips and tooling progression. Skilled in operating surface grinding machines and maintaining tooling accuracy for spare parts. Experience in maintaining Carbide Punches and Dies, including grinding with Diamond wheels. Proficient in operating stamping presses and associated equipment. Competent in measuring stamped parts using precision tools like Tool Maker's Microscope, Micrometer, Profile Projector, and Smart Scope. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills.
