Join us in our mission to transform the power of diagnostics into a healthier future for all.SUMMARY OF POSITION:The Total Rewards Lead has a key role within the HR and Total Rewards function with accountability for a wide range of compensation and benefits activities across the ASPAC region including China, Japan, India, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines. This role supports the ongoing evaluation and administration of the company\xe2\x80\x99s regional compensation and benefit programs. The position brings in-depth understanding of external best-practices and innovative trends applies them to the Total Rewards programs and technologies. The primary functions of the position are to operationalize the Total Rewards strategy to support the region and manage all aspects of the employee benefits program. The benefits program includes health and welfare plans, retirement plans, life insurance, time off, wellness programs and any other employee benefit plans offered. This role is also responsible for evaluating and making recommendations on compensation strategies to attract and retain talent.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages, supports and enhances the design and administration of the ASPAC region\xe2\x80\x99s compensation, incentive, equity, and benefit programs including health and welfare plans and retirement plans that reflect the organization\xe2\x80\x99s total rewards philosophy.
  • Evaluates the company\xe2\x80\x99s competitive practices, position to market, and makes recommendations to ensure that compensation and benefit plans are cost competitive and support the company\xe2\x80\x99s mission, values, and achievement of business objectives.
  • Working collaboratively with both the business and local HR across the region, this role understands specific business needs and has responsibility for the delivery of comprehensive compensation and benefit solutions and processes.
  • Supports the annual open enrollment process, annual merit increase and bonus planning activities to ensure compliance with local and government legislation, the Company\xe2\x80\x99s policy and budget for the ASPAC region.
  • Researches or coordinates with appropriate resources to research alternatives for health, wellness, and retirement plans and benefit providers in order to recommend changes or updates to the company\xe2\x80\x99s existing benefits or policies.
  • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve existing metrics including changes to benefits, leave, and compensation offerings.
  • Conducts and participates in formal and informal ASPAC salary surveys. Identifies data needs and designs and conducts independent surveys.
  • Maintains salary structures based on market data analysis within the company\xe2\x80\x99s job structure. Evaluates positions to determine placement to ensure internal and external equity.
  • Develops, maintains, and interprets policies and procedures related to compensation and benefit programs. Assists ASPAC personnel in interpreting these policies.
  • Partners with HR staff across the region to ensure an understanding of salary administration, incentive and equity programs, various benefit plans, and performance management through training programs and regular communications. Develops specific communications plans that supplement those provided from the corporate team.
  • Supports wider HR projects within Global Total Rewards, particularly in the area of process improvements.
INTERACTIONS:Interacts extensively with the global total rewards team, other HR team members, and regional leadership to understand business needs and functions in order to respond to changing business needs. Interacts with Operations, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition teams. Interacts externally with vendors, insurance partners, C&B partners, etc. Interacts with Finance on various matters including budget inquiries and stock administration. Works across all functions and departments. This individual will have contact at all levels of the organization.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Typical office environment. Work from home arrangements as per approval from the supervisor. The individual understands the role requires to interact with stakeholders from multiple countries with varying time zones. To ensure smooth collaboration and timely progress the individual will be required to attend meetings which are outside of the usual working hours.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Occasional travel required. Travel includes airplane, train, or automobile travel and overnight hotel.EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Education and Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Minimum of six years of related experience in Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, Wellness) including experience with self-insurance.
  • Prior work experience in Human Resources and working with external vendors required.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification, Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including fluency in Mandarin and English required
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods required
  • Thorough understanding of country labour laws and labour codes involving compensation, employment, HR, and benefits administration required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or related software, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization\xe2\x80\x99s HRIS and similar human resource management software and practices required
  • Experience with Workday and compensation analysis tools (e.g. MarketPay, CompTool, etc.) preferred
