The Employer The employer is the Singapore regional HQ of a diversified Asian conglomerate with interests in energy, infrastructure and commodities trading business. With a multibillion-dollar sales turnover, and a highly-skilled multi-ethnic team spread across several countries, the Group is expanding its presence globally in commodity trading business, especially coal, minerals and base metals. As part of its expansion, it plans to bring on board an experienced trade finance professional to join the team as:

Position: Trade Finance Executive Job Code: EXP/TFE/SG/0622 Location: Singapore

Responsibilities Reporting the Trade Finance Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Act as the primary interface between the Trade Finance team of the company and various banks

• Work with colleagues in Trade Finance team to help negotiate trade finance instruments including L/Cs, Guarantees, Collections and other related facilities.

• Manage banking relationships on a day-to-day basis.

• Keep track of facilities with various banks and their utilization.

• Help negotiate terms of trade facilities and associated fees

• Convey trade risk related information from banks to Traders and Trade Finance teams.

• Diploma/degree from premier institutions.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in Trade Finance function, either with large commodity trading companies or with banks.
• Prior experience in Coal, Minerals, Base Metals and other dry bulk commodities preferred
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of trade finance instruments; and policies and processes followed by different banks; updated knowledge of INCOTERMS and regulatory requirements.
• Good English communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of Asian languages such as Mandarin and Bahasa will be advantageous.
• Ability to work in multi-ethnic teams across different time zones.
