Role Responsibilities
- Trade input into exchange venues and back office systems
- Monitoring of Futures trades during life cycle
- Ensure Futures are allocated and given up according to strict timelines
- Assist with trade queries from front office, operations, and finance teams
- Working closely with brokers to ensure trade details are accurately captured
- Ensure static data requirements are captured and updated into various systems
- Maintain accurate trade records
- Liaise with clients, clearers and exchanges to resolve queries
- Perform reconciliation tasks
Experience / Competences
- Background in energy or commodities products; specifically oil products or Iron Ore and Coal is desirable but not essential
- Understanding of Physical and Paper contracts
- Experience using exchange systems; ICE Block, CME Clearport, SGX TITAN
- Accuracy, attention to detail when working with strict deadlines
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and prioritise workload accordingly
- Ability to adapt to changing systems and process flows
- Prior experience working for a broker or energy company
- Flexible approach to working hours, able to do shift work and during Public Holiday
- Ability to build relationships across the organisation
- Trouble shooting and problem solving skills
- Clear and confident communicator
