Responsible for Structured Trade Operations end to end transaction processing
Familiar with Structured Trade not limited to Back-to Back/ Front to Back LC, Transfer LC and document checking for both import/Export Structured Deals.
Ability to identify red flags, exceptions and possess strong business acumen to identify inconsistencies and potential deviations for prompt escalations in case of non-compliance.
Strong Advocacy for process improvement ensuring that all SLA, risks, and controls are not compromised.
Liaison with customers on document discrepancies and provide appropriate trade advice on rectification and further handling.
Drive operational efficiency while applying appropriate risks and controls where required.
Ensure proper handling of documents to customers / counterparties and perform day end reconciliation, monitoring and review
Review of SOP, keeping abreast of business and market developments to ensure team stays relevant and procedures are up to date.
Proactive Participation and spearhead in ad-hoc projects/ initiatives when tasked.
Understand and familiar with the use of digital solutions and platforms in the market available for Trade Finance
Working closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and achieve high customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Requirements:
Candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant trade and banking experience and exhibit the following capabilities / attributes:
Sound Knowledge and familiarity with applicable Rules (UCP600, ISP98, ISBP and URR725, URDG)
Strong understanding and prior experience handling structured trade finance operations
Familiar with all swift message types (MT7XX, MT4XX, Payments etc.).
Able to multi-task with strong ops risks awareness, problem solving and analytical skills
Familiar with Trade Based Anti-Money Laundering, MAS626 and trade related requirements that may be applicable from time to time.
Strong Leadership Attributes and able to work independently as well as a good team player
Prior experience on Project Management for Trade/ Industry Initiatives and other Trade Finance Products
Experience in leading changes management projects involving formalizing business requirements, UATs, and evaluating outcome will be advantageous
Possess a positive learning attitude and open mindset to challenge status quo for process improvement
Committed and Adaptable, with strong communication skills (written and spoken) to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, Data Analytics, and IT Savvy
