Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Order Fulfilment
- Understand contractual terms and obligations in order to fulfil shipment requirements
- Manage shipments' requirements such as port declaration, shipping instructions, insurance application, checking of shipping documents etc.
- Ensure shipping documents are prepared as per customers' requirements
- Generate invoices to customers for payments
- Prepare LC draft and liaise with banks for LC issuance
- Prepare and ensure shipping documents comply with LC requirements. Liaise with bank directly for LC negotiation
- Perform warehouse management activities such as receipts, release, stock reconciliation and warehouse billings accurately.
- Ensure all month end transactions are complete within stipulated timeline
- Monitor/track shipments and resolve issues when necessary
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Follow-up payments from customers promptly
- 6 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Relevant experience in dry bulk and/or container shipments preferred
- Ability to handle high volume transactions in fast pace environment
- Knowledge in UCP600 and experience to liaise with banks directly for LC negotiation
- Experience in handling dry bulk shipment is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel such as pivot table/vlookup preferred
