ExxonMobil in Singapore

ExxonMobil is one of Singapore\'s largest foreign manufacturing investors with over S$25 billion in fixed asset investments.

What you will do

If successful you will be an integral part of the LNG Optimization and Trading Team, providing derivatives expertise, developing and executing hedging strategies, and optimizing our portfolio to deliver incremental value.

The key deliverables include:

• Developing and executing hedging strategies to optimize the risk/reward balance for our existing portfolio, including capture of extrinsic value
• Leveraging detailed market understanding to develop and implement new hedging and trading strategies, consistent with ongoing growth in the LNG portfolio
• Drive hedging and optimisation value-add in all interactions across the broader LNG business, including both the short-term commercial space and in long-term business development
• Remain knowledgeable about leading-edge developments in the LNG derivatives space, including new derivatives, pricing structures, and physical trade flows

About you

Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Hold a degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics (or equivalent)
• Have experience in energy or commodity trading and risk management
• Have commercial experience and understanding of derivatives and their application to commodity trading, particularly for crude oil and natural gas
• Be able to demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers (local & global)
• Be able to demonstrate innovative and analytical thinking, intellectual rigor, strong drive and the desire to lead change
• Have good knowledge of decision analysis techniques and be comfortable handling issues involving risk and uncertainty.

Preferred Knowledge / Skills

• An advanced relevant degree, such as a Master\'s in Business Administration or Finance
• Fluency in any Asian or European language
