The Position )The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore's B The Position )The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore's Biopharmaceuticals manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand. This programme is jointly supported by the Workforce Singapore (WSG) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP). The training programme consists of a 3-months structured facilitated training conducted by SP, followed by 15 months of local attachment with Roche. Due to the nature of the programme, we can only consider Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. Key Responsibilities Under Supervision/Guidance from Senior Automation Engineer I/II, trainee shall perform the following: Ability to support and troubleshoot process controls related issues. Knowledgeable about maintenance and administration of GMP distributed control systems for Roche Singapore. Able to make software code / configuration changes independently. Capable of troubleshooting independently. Ability to write discrepancies, participate in investigations and develop / implement corrective actions. Knowledgeable about the approach to computer system validation, able to write protocols and validate automation code changes independently. Work with cross functional departments such as Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and other functions of MSAT to support cross-functional projects. Adhere to the requirements specified in Automation related Roche's quality policies/quality standards or related SOP. Adopt Roche's good engineering practice documents as guidance documents when performing the work function. Provide 24x7 support when needed. Comply with all RSTO's Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements, never put oneself and others at safety & health risks, and report any workplace accidents, near misses and hazards as soon as practicable. Observe all RSTO's site security measures at all times, and report any suspicious characters/objects & damaged security mechanisms to Site Security immediately. Embody PT Lean Production System (LPS), while demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset and behaviors through the use and application of LPS tools for continuous improvement initiatives. Safety, Health & Environment : Comply with all RSTO's Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements, never put oneself and others at safety & health risks, and report any workplace accidents, near misses and hazards as soon as practicable. Lean Production System : Embody PT Lean Production System (LPS), while demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset and behaviors through the use and application of LPS tools for continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Fresh Graduate with B.S or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree and relevant work experience/training. Candidate must be able to work well with others as a team member in an informal results-oriented work environment. Must be independent, have good communication skills (both verbal and written), and be able to work collaboratively with other groups at Roche. Candidate should have a good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), particularly as they relate to the operation, validation and maintenance of computer-controlled systems. Knowledge of biological pharmaceutical production is desirable.
