We're on the lookout for a Learning Experience (LX) Design Manager who can champion quality within the team. The search could end with you!

As an LX Design Manager, you will manage an awesome team of Learning Content Experts (LCXs) who function as content writers and content editors. You will also collaborate with other LX Design workstreams to produce engaging-and even life-changing- learning experiences for internal and external TaskUs clients. In your capacity, you will:

  • Lead initiatives to:
    • Implement standards to align all LX Design team members on quality expectations related to instructional design, writing, and content
    • Codify quality standards through a style guide and other references
    • Conduct regular maintenance of quality standards documentation
    • Lead efforts to communicate these standards to the LX Design team
    • Establish and/or improve processes related to maintaining quality standards (e.g., quality reviews, calibrations, regular content audits, etc.)
    • Improve the overall quality of the team's output
  • Apply your knowledge and skills about instructional design, content writing, and editing in evaluating team members' work
  • Apply your instructional design, project management, and stakeholder management expertise to:
    • Scope learning development requests
    • Analyze learning needs
    • Design learning solutions
    • Plan project efforts
    • Oversee project progress
    • Manage stakeholder relationships during LX Design projects
  • Care for your team members' administrative needs
  • Help boost your team members' performance by conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback
  • Ensure the overall well-being of your team through coaching and team engagement efforts
  • Work closely with other leaders in the LX Design team to ensure that the department continues to be a key contributor to the organization

We need someone who has:
  • At least 3 years of experience in instructional design, spanning the ADDIE process (including conducting training needs analysis, designing learner-centered training programs, and developing related training materials)
  • A working knowledge of principles and practices related to adult learning and instructional design
  • Experience drafting measurable training goals and learning objectives
  • Experience scoping, planning, and managing projects
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships
  • Expertise in developing evaluation strategies and instruments
  • Expertise in technical writing, editing, and the use of style guides
  • Expertise in Quality-related concepts and practices
  • Technical knowledge of the English language and writing concepts
  • Expertise in coaching

Experience in designing and/or facilitating communication/language training is a plus, but not required.

Now let's get technical-we need someone who is technology literate and can easily work with new software (e.g., media development tools, office suite, and other web applications). We also need someone who has an understanding of the functionalities of courseware authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline) and experience with e-Learning design principles, practices, and platforms (i.e., LMS).

In terms of other skills, we're looking for someone with a demonstrated ability to make decisions by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions. This special someone is also a master at communicating information and ideas clearly and concisely-verbally and in writing. They have the ability to interact with peers, managers, and other departments in a professional manner.

Our LX Design Manager must be able to foster a positive and productive work environment, with the ability to lead, build teams, and motivate staff. They have strong organizational and interpersonal management skills, and can manage time effectively and efficiently. Lastly, they are self-motivated, are self-directed, and pay keen attention to detail.
